One of the overarching goals of the WEB program is to align with standardized technologies across the USG and DOD. The three technologies we are looking at include: SiteGauge vs DAP metrics/analytics systems, Accord vs Cornerstone, hosted by DAU Learning Management System, and Atlassian (Confluence/Jira) vs ServiceNow, a Microsoft partner and DISA offering. We are doing research, cost benefit analysis, functionality analysis and possibly pilots with these technologies to make the final determinations.
After careful consideration, we have decided to stop using SiteGauge and switch to Digital Analytic Program (DAP) tool. DAP is using Google Analytics which is a widely adopted and sophisticated tool that provides insights into your website's performance. It offers improved accuracy, flexibility, and scalability, compared to our custom tool. This change will allow us to better serve you by providing more accurate and comprehensive data analysis and insights into your website's performance.
We kindly ask that you export any data that you might need from SiteGauge, as it will no longer be accessible after the switch to DAP. Our team is working on training and support to ensure a smooth transition and to help you make the most of the new platform. The SiteGauge Team will be conducting a webinar discussing SiteGauge Reports on Tuesday, February 7th at 1300 EST.
The team will be walking users through downloading all site analytics data from SiteGauge, in preparation for a transition to a new site analytics program on February 17, 2023. This will include downloading yearly and monthly reports, as well as specific reports on visitor details and geography. We have moved to Microsoft Teams for webinars. AFPIMS users should have received an invitation to this Teams meeting.
We are continuing to research options regarding Accord vs DAU Learning Management System (LMS). The Defense Acquisition University (DAU) has expanded well beyond acquisition courses. It uses Cornerstone as a platform and is hosted by the DAU. Cornerstone is a robust LMS that will offer us the ability to manage thousands of users in a CAC environment. It also offers us the ability to better manage the current and future training opportunities to include virtual classes. By joining DAU's cornerstone we are given a huge cost savings over any other true LMS along with their expertise in LMS hosting and help desk functions. Cornerstone will open many opportunities to expand and stream better more up to date and interactive training options that Accord cannot perform. Additionally, it can assist us in our Authority to Operate user education/certification tracking requirements by automating our MOU, SAAR and allowing us to verify users’ completion of Information Assurance and keeping track of users’ WEB training all online.
